FAQ & How This Works

This page is here to support clarity and discernment.

If you’re exploring whether to work together, the questions below address how sessions are structured, what this work includes (and does not include), and who tends to benefit most.

What kind of work do you offer?

My work integrates classical East Asian medicine, clinical insight, and intuitive perception to support regulation, clarity, and meaningful change. Depending on the context, sessions may include:

  • Clinical assessment and treatment planning

  • Somatic and nervous system–oriented support

  • Herbal or lifestyle recommendations

  • Intuitive or symbolic insight when appropriate

The emphasis is always on what is most relevant and supportive for you in that moment — not on applying a fixed formula.

Is this medical care, intuitive work, or something else?

It is both clinically informed and intuitively guided, but it is not casual or improvised.

I hold formal training and licensure in East Asian medicine and work within clear professional boundaries. Intuitive perception is used as an additional layer of information — not as a substitute for clinical reasoning or personal agency.

Sessions are designed to support insight, regulation, and healing, not dependency or prediction.

How do sessions typically unfold?

Sessions are conversational, attentive, and responsive.

We begin by understanding what you’re experiencing — physically, emotionally, contextually — and what feels most alive or pressing. From there, I draw on the tools and frameworks most appropriate to that moment.

Some sessions are focused and practical.

Others are reflective and integrative.

Many are a combination of both.

There is room for nuance, silence, and inquiry.

Do you use the same modalities in every session?

No.I don’t apply modalities indiscriminately. Not every session includes herbs, acupuncture, intuitive insight, or symbolic language.

Each session is guided by what is clinically relevant and supportive for you, at that time. This flexibility is intentional and foundational to how I work.

Who tends to be a good fit for this work?

This work tends to resonate with people who:

  • Are thoughtful, curious, and reflective

  • Value depth over quick fixes

  • Are navigating transitions, health challenges, or periods of recalibration

  • Want support without being managed or directed

  • Appreciate both rigor and subtlety

You don’t need to have a clear goal — but you do need a willingness to engage honestly with your experience.

Who may not be a good fit?

This may not be the right space if you’re looking for:

  • Immediate answers without exploration

  • Strict protocols without context

  • Someone to override your judgment or make decisions for you

  • A purely spiritual or purely biomedical approach

Clarity about fit is a form of care.

How many sessions do people usually book?

It varies. Some people come for a single session during a specific moment or transition. Others work together over time, allowing patterns to unfold and stabilize.

There is no expectation of ongoing commitment. We revisit cadence and scope together, based on what feels appropriate.

Do I need to prepare for a session?

No formal preparation is required. However, it can be helpful to:

  • Arrive with a sense of what you’re noticing or questioning

  • Be honest about what feels unclear, uncomfortable, or unresolved

  • Allow space for reflection rather than performance

You don’t need the “right” words — part of the work is finding them together.

If your session includes acupuncture, please avoid arriving on a completely empty stomach. A light meal or snack beforehand helps support comfort and circulation during treatment.

Are sessions confidential?

Yes. Sessions are treated with care, discretion, and respect for privacy, in accordance with professional and ethical standards.

Do you work in person, remotely, or both?

I offer both in-person and remote sessions, depending on the service and context. Some work benefits from physical presence, while other sessions translate well to a virtual setting. If you’re unsure what’s appropriate, we can discuss options together.

Can this work be combined with other medical or therapeutic care?

Yes. This work is designed to complement, not replace, other forms of medical or therapeutic care. Many clients work with physicians, therapists, or other practitioners alongside our sessions. I respect those relationships and encourage integrated, well-supported care.

What if I’m sensitive, skeptical, or new to intuitive work?

You don’t need a particular belief system to benefit from this work. Sessions are grounded, conversational, and responsive. Intuitive insight is offered thoughtfully and only when it feels relevant — never imposed or theatrical.

Is this work emotionally intense?

Sessions are attuned to your capacity. While meaningful insight or emotion may arise, the pace is guided by what feels manageable and            supportive. Regulation and integration are prioritized over intensity.

Do you offer packages or long-term plans?

I offer both single sessions and longer-term work.

Rather than prescribing packages upfront, I prefer to let the shape and cadence of the work emerge based on your needs and response. If ongoing support feels appropriate, we can discuss options together.

There is no expectation of commitment beyond what feels genuinely supportive.

Can I book for a specific issue or goal?

Yes. Some people arrive with a clearly defined concern — a health issue, a decision point, or a specific transition. Others come with a more general sense that something is asking for attention.

Both are welcome. We work with what’s present, whether it’s precise or still taking shape.

What if I get emotional during a session?

That’s completely okay. Emotions are welcome and are treated as information, not something to fix or suppress. Sessions are held with care and compassionate attunement, and there is no expectation to perform, explain, or manage your experience.

We move at a pace that supports regulation and integration.

Do you work with couples or families?

In certain contexts, yes. Some work benefits from shared presence — particularly when patterns, environments, or relational dynamics are involved. This is assessed on a case-by-case basis to ensure clarity of scope and support for everyone involved.

If you’re curious whether this is appropriate for your situation, we can discuss it before scheduling.
